Clogged drains: If your drain has been clogged, you would need the services of a plumber to unclog it along with an assessment if the water pond has caused any serious damage to the structure of the house. Blistering: Blisters can occur on the roof due to a variety of reasons such as ponded water or if the membrane as aged, and sometimes even due to the adhesion weakening. If not repaired, the water can certainly enter the house from the crevices. Needless to say, at this stage you will need to pump in more money for roof restoration. Debris from foliage: If there are large and old trees in your areas, it is almost certain that branches are overhanging on your roof. These need to be trimmed back in order to prevent abrasions to the roof's surface. Also, the roof needs to be cleaned at timely intervals or the dry leaves, foliage, broken branches, etc. can lead to clogged drains. Failing seals: When the seals meant to prevent water from entering the house starts to crack, it is likely that water may enter the home. You need the joints and flashings to be working properly to prevent such a scenario from occurring.
